KC Artwork Guidelines
In order for us to produce the best finished results we need the highest quality artwork to work from.
Please take the time to read through our guidelines for our specific requirements and some suggested details you may want to provide.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!
File Types
Where available always supply vectored artwork which could be an AI, PDF, EPS or SVG file type. Vector graphics are the gold standard in terms of quality and will allow us to scale your artwork to any size without loss of resolution. All fonts & strokes should be outlined and preferably set to size.
An easy way to tell whether or not your artwork is vectored is to first check if it is saved as one of the above file types, if it is simply zoom in on your image, if any pixelation occurs than this is not a vector graphic.
We also accept PNG, JPEG, PSD & TIF files. Please ensure that these are provided at 300dpi set to the size you require. Additional images should be embedded in the file.
Transfer & Screen Printing
File Type Required: Vector Graphics
DTF, DTG Printing & Embroidery
File Type Required: Raster or Vector Graphics
If your artwork file is too big to attach to your enquiry e-mail we suggest using either dropbox transfer or WeTransfer which are both free and easy to use.
Redraw Service
Vectored artwork is essential for transfer and screen printed jobs. if you are unable to supply this, we provide a redraw service. We may also suggest this for other print finishes & embroidery designs if we feel that the artwork supplied is not suitable to use.
Depending on the complexity of your artwork we will either include this in our free visual service or we will add the redraw fee to your order, though we shall always consult you about any additional charges before proceeding.
Colours
Please provide pantone references where possible.
Visual Proofs
Our design team will create a free visual proof, which you will need to approve before we proceed to production. You can make as many amendments as necessary at this stage, and will be asked if you have any specific requirements regarding artwork size, colour, position etc.
Artwork Tips
If you have a brand guidelines document, this will likely contain all information and assets that we need. If you have a design department they can also help you provide all necessary resources.
